Description
Overview
The Gibraltar Standfirm Bass Drum Anchor Straps provide a reliable solution for drummers who struggle with “bass drum creep.” Designed to lock your kick drum securely into position, these straps eliminate the need to constantly reposition your drum during a performance, ensuring your setup remains exactly where you want it from the first beat to the final encore.
Key Details
- Anti-Slide Technology: Specifically engineered to prevent the bass drum from sliding forward during aggressive playing.
- Dual-Point Security: Features Velcro arms that wrap securely around each bass drum spur for maximum stability.
- Surface Integration: The body of the strap utilizes high-grip Velcro that adheres firmly to most fine-fibered carpets and drum rugs.
- Placement Markers: When the drum is removed, the straps can remain on the rug to serve as precise markers for rapid and accurate repositioning.
- Rapid Deployment: Designed for quick attachment and removal, making them ideal for touring musicians and frequent gigging.
Use Cases
Live Stage Performances: Perfect for high-energy sets where heavy kick drum usage often pushes the drum away from the throne.
Studio Recording: Ensures the bass drum stays in the optimal position relative to the microphones, preventing phase issues or distance changes during a session.
Rapid Load-Ins: Use the straps as permanent markers on your drum rug to eliminate the guesswork when setting up your kit in a new venue.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires no tools. Simply wrap the Velcro arms of the straps around the spurs of your bass drum. Once the drum is in your desired position, press the main body of the strap firmly into the fibers of your drum rug or carpet. To remove, simply peel the strap from the rug and unwrap the arms from the spurs.
Compatibility
- Drum Hardware: Compatible with bass drums equipped with standard spurs.
- Surface Requirements: Optimized for use with fine-fibered drum rugs and standard carpets.
