Installation
The Tycoon Master Handcrafted Djembe arrives ready for final tuning. To prepare the instrument for play:
- Tuning: Use the included tuning wrench to tighten the 5/16″ diameter lugs. Tighten in a cross-pattern (star pattern) to ensure even tension across the goat skin head.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the tension of the lugs to account for changes in humidity and temperature, which can affect the natural goat skin head.
Compatibility
This is a standalone physical percussion instrument. It is compatible with all standard djembe playing techniques (slap, tone, and bass) and is suitable for use in any musical setting, from acoustic circles to amplified stages.
