Description

Product Overview

Overview

The Wild Collection is a comprehensive Rig Library for TH-U meticulously crafted to recreate the legendary guitar tones of Zakk Wylde. Spanning the sonic evolution from the No Rest for the Wicked era through to Engines of Demolition, this collection provides the high-gain aggression, mid-focused lead sustain, and liquid modulation essential for heavy rock and metal production.

Utilizing Overloud’s advanced capture workflow, the Wild Collection delivers a massive array of authentic amplifier and speaker combinations. To ensure immediate playability, a TH-U Essentials license is included, providing the necessary platform and Rig Player to load and use the library without requiring additional software purchases.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Extensive Rig Library: Includes 77 captured rigs, consisting of 62 Studio Rigs and 15 Direct Rigs for maximum versatility.
  • Curated Presets: 50 custom patches inspired by specific eras of Zakk Wylde’s recording history.
  • Wild Overdrive: A dedicated model of the MXR Berzerker Overdrive (ZW44), designed to push valve amplifiers into muscular, aggressive territory with a sharp mid-frequency focus.
  • Symphonic 90 & Miracle Mode: A recreation of the famous SPX90 Symphonic patch. Miracle Mode extends this effect by incorporating the specific post-processing techniques used by the artist to achieve that unmistakable “liquid” chorused sound.
  • Captured Hardware Suite:

Amplifiers: Lee Jackson GP-1000, Marshall Silver Jubilee, Marshall JCM800 2203, and Marshall JCM800 ZW Signature.

Speakers: G12T-75 and EVM 12L Black Label.

    Microphones: Shure SM57, Royer R121, Sennheiser e906, Sennheiser MD412, AKG C414, and Shure KSM313.
  • Expanded Toolkit: 10 additional effects for fine-tuning and shaping your final guitar tone.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Heavy Metal Production: Perfect for engineers and producers needing authentic, high-gain rhythm tones that cut through a dense mix.
  • Lead Guitar Tracking: Ideal for guitarists seeking the sustained, mid-heavy lead sounds characteristic of shred-heavy rock.
  • Atmospheric Textures: Use the Symphonic 90 and Miracle Mode to create wide, modulated guitar textures for cleans or high-gain rhythms.
  • Direct Signal Processing: Utilize the Direct Rigs to re-amp or process previously recorded DI guitar tracks with world-class captured gear.
