Key Details
- Premium Material: Constructed from White Zebrano, providing a distinct aesthetic and a crisp, responsive tonal quality.
- Precision Dimensions: Measures 19″ in length and 11.5″ in width, ensuring a proper fit for compatible cajon shells.
- Lightweight Build: Weighs only 0.71 lbs, maintaining the instrument’s portability while providing the necessary structural strength for heavy striking.
- Ultra-Slim Profile: A height of 0.01″ ensures a tight seal against the frame to maximize air displacement and bass response.
Use Cases
- Wear and Tear Repair: Ideal for replacing front plates that have developed cracks, splinters, or “dead spots” from years of heavy performance.
- Tonal Refresh: Use this replacement plate to restore the original bright, punchy attack characteristic of White Zebrano wood.
- Instrument Maintenance: A critical component for percussionists who maintain a professional fleet of instruments and require genuine replacement parts.
Installation
Installation involves removing the existing front plate from the cajon chassis. Ensure all existing screws or fasteners are removed carefully to avoid stripping the wood. Align the new White Zebrano plate with the frame, ensuring an even gap around the edges for proper vibration, and secure it using the original hardware. Note: Proper tensioning of the plate is essential to achieve the desired bass and snare response.
Compatibility
This replacement plate is specifically designed for Tycoon Percussion cajons that match the 19″ x 11.5″ dimensions. Please verify your instrument’s measurements before purchase to ensure a seamless fit.
