Key Details
- Vintage Tri-Leg Design: Features a low-mass tripod flat base that delivers a classic visual style while maintaining a secure footprint.
- Key Lock System: Equipped with Gibraltar’s exclusive “Key Lock” mechanism, which effectively prevents tripod movement and ensures the legs stay locked in place during performance.
- Super Lock Height Adjustment: Utilizes hinged height adjustments integrated with ABS “Super Lock” inserts, eliminating metal-to-metal contact for smoother operation and increased longevity.
- Precision Snare Basket: Includes a brake-style, gearless snare basket adjustment for fast, fluid, and accurate positioning of the drum.
Use Cases
- Vintage-Style Kits: Ideal for drummers building a “retro” or “throwback” aesthetic who want the look of the 1960s but the reliability of modern hardware.
- Studio Recording: The low-mass design and stable locking mechanisms make it an excellent choice for controlled studio environments.
- Professional Touring: The combination of the Key Lock and ABS inserts ensures the stand can withstand the rigors of frequent setup and teardown.
Installation
Assembly is straightforward and requires no specialized tools. Simply unfold the tri-leg base and engage the Key Lock to secure the tripod. Use the hinged height adjustment to set your desired playing level, and utilize the gearless brake system on the basket to secure your snare or tom. The ABS inserts ensure that adjustments remain tight and secure over time.
Compatibility
This stand is designed for universal compatibility with standard snare drums and tom-toms. It is compatible with any drum that fits within a standard snare basket or can be mounted via traditional tom-mounting hardware.
