Description
Overview
Unmask by ThreeBodyTech is a psychoacoustically informed dynamic EQ designed to reveal the hidden truth in your sound. Unlike traditional equalizers or compressors, Unmask continuously analyzes your audio signal in real-time to apply precise corrections that eliminate frequency masking, improve tonal balance, and enhance overall clarity.
By operating across spectral, tonal, and temporal dimensions, Unmask uncovers buried details and restores depth to your mix. Whether you require subtle refinement for a professional polish or deep spectral reshaping to fix problematic tracks, Unmask delivers cohesion and transparency with minimal effort.
Key Details
- Frequency Domain Processing: The SPEC function reveals masked details and actively controls competing frequencies to stop elements from fighting for space.
- Spectral Envelope Shaping: The TILT control guides the tonal balance toward a smooth, natural perceptual slope for better overall balance.
- Time Domain Analysis: The TIME function restores masked information that typically disappears immediately after transients.
- Psychoacoustic Cohesion: EXT Glue resolves complex psychoacoustic conflicts, ensuring a more natural and glued-together mix.
- Intuitive Workflow: Features three dedicated Depth controls for fast, intuitive sound improvement without tedious tweaking.
- Precision Control: Includes dedicated Gain Range and Processing Frequency Range settings to focus the effect exactly where it is needed.
Use Cases
- Vocal Production: Use the SPEC and TIME functions to lift vocals out of a dense instrumental arrangement without increasing volume.
- Guitar Tracking: Clear up “mud” and frequency clashes between electric guitars and bass using spectral envelope shaping.
- Mixing & Mastering: Apply EXT Glue to resolve psychoacoustic conflicts across the master bus for a more cohesive, professional sound.
- Sound Design: Use deep spectral reshaping to carve out space for complex synthetic layers in a dense soundscape.
