Product Overview
Overview
Super Chunk is a vintage-inspired bass synthesizer designed to capture the raw spirit of 1970s analog monsters. Built for speed and impact, this digital instrument eliminates overthinking, allowing producers to create room-shaking low end with a fast, intuitive workflow. It combines a heavy-hitting triple-oscillator engine with modern modulation twists to deliver sounds that range from warm and woody to completely unhinged.
What Stands Out
Key Details
- Triple-Oscillator Engine: Engineered for pure weight and sonic density.
- Sub: The fundamental, floor-shaking low-frequency oscillator.
- Chunk: The rich, saturating mid-section that provides the “wood” and glue of the sound.
- Bite: Aggressive upper-harmonics designed to cut through dense mixes.
- Advanced Tone Shaping:
- Ladder-Style Filter: Features smooth Cutoff and Resonance controls paired with a dedicated saturating Drive circuit.
- Octave Shifters: Instant range control for each oscillator to create massive, stacked bass walls.
- Ring Mod: Independent Pitch and Amount controls for industrial, metallic, and non-linear textures.
- Performance & FX:
- Expressive Playability: Integrated Glide and Legato for traditional monophonic lead flourishes.
- Built-in Effects: Integrated Vibrato (Rate and Depth) for organic drift and a Spring Reverb for adding space.
- “Geeky Glasses” Modulation: A powerful internal signal path system that replaces complex routing. Users can set target values, and the ADSR envelope “pushes” parameters toward those targets for dynamic movement.
- Assignable Modulation: Mod 1 and Mod 2 envelopes provide dedicated control over the Filter, Drive, and Ring Mod.
Best For
Use Cases
- Modern Production: Creating aggressive, cutting basslines for electronic music that need to stand out in a crowded mix.
- Vintage Sound Design: Emulating the grit and instability of 70s analog hardware for cinematic or retro-inspired tracks.
- Fast Prototyping: Rapidly dialing in “room-shaking” bass sounds without navigating complex synthesis menus.
- Industrial Textures: Utilizing the Ring Mod and Drive circuits to create distorted, metallic soundscapes.
