Description
Overview
The Samson SRK Rack Shelf (1-space) is a professional-grade universal solution designed to integrate non-rackmountable gear into your studio setup. By providing a stable, rugged platform within a standard rack configuration, this shelf ensures that your desktop peripherals, small mixers, or external controllers are organized and easily accessible.
Key Details
- Rugged Construction: Built from high-quality cold rolled steel plates for maximum durability and long-term reliability.
- High Load Capacity: Engineered to securely hold up to 33 pounds of equipment without bowing or instability.
- Universal Fit: Designed to meet standard 19-inch rack specifications, ensuring seamless integration with a wide variety of rack cases.
- Compact Profile: Occupies only 1U (1-space) of vertical rack room, maximizing your available studio real estate.
Use Cases
This rack shelf is ideal for studio engineers and musicians who need to organize “loose” gear. Common applications include:
- Peripheral Placement: Supporting small audio interfaces, MIDI controllers, or external hard drive arrays.
- Utility Storage: Holding small mixers, power conditioners, or custom-built electronics that lack dedicated rack ears.
- Studio Organization: Keeping essential tools within arm’s reach while maintaining a clean, professional rack layout.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires only a standard screwdriver. The shelf is designed to be bolted directly into the vertical rails of any standard 19-inch equipment rack. For the most stable configuration, ensure the shelf is centered and the mounting screws are tightened securely to prevent shifting under the weight of your gear.
Compatibility
- Rack Standard: Fully compatible with any standard 19-inch equipment rack.
- Optimized For: While universal, these shelves are specifically ideal for use with Samson SRK and SRK Pro Racks.
