Overview
The Gibraltar Small Rubber Claw Grabber is a specialized hardware accessory designed to provide maximum stability and grip for your snare drum basket. Engineered to prevent snare creep and unwanted movement during intense performances, this rubberized grabber ensures your drum remains exactly where you positioned it, allowing you to focus on your playing rather than adjusting your gear.
Key Details
- High-Traction Material: Constructed from durable, high-grip rubber to securely lock the snare drum in place.
- Compact Profile: Small-form factor design that integrates seamlessly with standard snare baskets without adding unnecessary bulk.
- Protective Surface: The rubberized composition provides a secure hold while protecting the finish of your snare drum shell from metal-on-metal contact.
- Lightweight Construction: Weighing only 0.05 lbs, it adds essential stability without affecting the overall weight of your hardware setup.
Use Cases
- Live Performance: Ideal for high-energy drummers who experience “snare creep” where the drum shifts forward during heavy hitting.
- Studio Recording: Ensures the snare remains in a fixed position for consistent mic placement and sonic accuracy.
- Hardware Upgrades: A perfect replacement or addition for aging snare baskets that have lost their original grip.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires no specialized tools. Simply slide or fit the rubber claw grabber onto the arms of your compatible snare basket. Ensure the rubber surface is making direct contact with the snare shell to maximize the friction and stability of the hold.
Compatibility
This product is designed for use with standard snare drum baskets. While optimized for Gibraltar hardware, its universal small-profile design makes it compatible with most industry-standard snare baskets. Please verify your basket arm width to ensure a snug fit.
