Description
Overview
The Paiste Signature Mellow Crash Cymbal is engineered for drummers seeking a sophisticated, understated accent that avoids the piercing intensity of traditional crashes. This 17″ cymbal delivers a warm, low, and full sonic profile, characterized by a narrow frequency range and a medium clean mix that blends seamlessly into a musical arrangement without overpowering other instruments.
Designed for high responsiveness, it provides a crisp attack followed by a fast fade, making it an ideal choice for musicians who require precision and control over their cymbal decays.

Installation
This cymbal is designed for standard cymbal stands. To ensure the best tonal response and longevity:
- Mounting: Use a standard cymbal tilter and felt pads to allow the cymbal to vibrate freely.
- Tension: Avoid over-tightening the wing nut; leave a small amount of play to prevent choking the sound and to avoid damaging the center hole.
- Positioning: Place within easy reach of the hi-hat or ride for quick, responsive accents.
Compatibility
Compatible with all standard cymbal stands, boom arms, and mounting hardware featuring a standard 1/2″ or 5/8″ mounting post. This cymbal is designed for use with standard drumsticks, though softer mallets or brushes can be used to further emphasize the mellow characteristics.
