Key Details
- True Analog Modeling: Authentic emulation of analog synths with precise non-linearity, self-oscillation, and modeled oscillator drift.
- Extensive Preset Library: Includes 1,022 professional presets crafted by expert sound designers.
- Advanced Filtering: Analog-modeled filters featuring FM, feedback, and saturation for added grit and character.
- Versatile Oscillators: Supports standard and exotic types; the PW knob can morph any waveform, not just square waves.
- Powerful Arpeggiator: Features custom patterns, chords, swing, and per-step velocity for complex sequences.
- Flexible Play Modes: Supports Mono, legato, glide, poly, stack, and auto-chord modes.
- Rich Modulation: Drag-and-drop modulation matrix allowing for audio-rate modulation and easy MIDI-learn CC assignments.
- Stereo Enhancement: 4x stereo unison and a professional effects suite including chorus, delay, reverb, and tube amp.
- Innovative Microtuning: Seven modes to model analog drift and real-time melody adaptation for warmer, richer chords.
Use Cases
Saurus 4 is ideal for music production and sound design within professional or home studio workflows. It is particularly effective for composers and producers who require the organic “weight” of analog hardware across various genres, from cinematic scoring to electronic dance music (EDM). Because of its low CPU consumption, it is an excellent choice for engineers running complex sessions with multiple synthesizer instances without compromising system performance.
