Description
Overview
Pyramids is a sophisticated virtual instrument from MNTRA Instruments that blends ancient geometry with modern sound alchemy. As the debut release in the Elemental series, this library is crafted from pure quartz instruments designed with precise ratios inspired by the Great Pyramids of Egypt. The result is a world of crystalline clarity and immersive harmonic depth, offering a sonic experience that transcends the physical limitations of the original instruments.
By utilizing innovative ultrasonic sampling and the proprietary MNDALA 2 engine, Pyramids provides a multi-dimensional tool for composers and sound designers. From delicate, transparent resonances to the intense vibrations of a cracked pyramid, the library captures a vast spectrum of augmented sonic expressions.
Key Details
- Extended Range Audio (E.R.A.): Stretched samples that reveal hidden frequencies and slow fluctuations, enabling massive polyphonic versions of the instruments impossible to achieve physically.
- Sample Start Modulation (SSM™): Dynamic performance capabilities where the sample start point scans via velocity or random modulation for infinite sonic variations.
- High-Resolution Audio: Sample sources recorded at up to 384kHz / 32-bit for an extended ultrasonic range and pristine detail.
- Comprehensive Content: Includes 94 Presets, 50 Atelier Presets, and 22 Sample Maps.
- Deep Sampling: Features 17 Round Robins and 22 SSM-powered samples across a 4-octave range (C1-C5).
- Flexible Recording: Captured in both reverberant and dead rooms with up to 2 microphone channels for varied spatial perspectives.
Use Cases
- Cinematic Scoring: Create ethereal, otherworldly atmospheres or tension-filled textures using the augmented quartz resonances.
- Sound Healing & Meditation: Leverage the crystalline purity and harmonic ratios for therapeutic soundscapes and mindfulness music.
- Experimental Sound Design: Use the E.R.A. and SSM features to create evolving pads, rhythmic beating, and complex harmonic interactions.
- Ambient Production: Generate immersive, transparent tones that provide depth without cluttering the frequency spectrum.
Installation
Pyramids is delivered as an instant download. There is no physical dongle required; users simply sign in to activate the product. The instrument requires the MNDALA V2.4.1 engine to function. Once the engine is installed, the Pyramids library can be loaded to access all presets and sample maps.
