Description
Overview
The Power 3A Nylon Tip Drum Sticks by Vater Percussion are engineered for drummers who require additional volume, projection, and durability without sacrificing the feel of a traditional 3A profile. Crafted from premium American Hickory, these sticks are designed to withstand heavy hitting while providing the necessary shock absorption to reduce fatigue during long performances.
By utilizing a “Power” specification, these sticks offer a beefier build than standard 3A models, making them an ideal choice for high-energy genres where cutting through a loud mix is essential. The integrated nylon tip ensures a consistent, bright attack on cymbals and a smooth glide across drumheads.
Key Details

- Precision Moisture Control: Dowels are maintained at a strict 10%-12% moisture content, specifically optimized for striking tools to ensure a consistent feel and prevent premature breakage.
- Nylon Tip Construction: Features a durable nylon tip that produces a clear, defined articulation and increases the lifespan of the stick tip when playing on cymbals.
- Power Profile: An enhanced 3A diameter and weight distribution designed for increased volume and projection.
- Sustainable Sourcing: Produced with a commitment to reforestation, ensuring new Hickory trees are planted for every tree harvested.
Use Cases
- Rock and Metal: Perfect for heavy hitters who need a stick that can handle aggressive playing styles and high-volume environments.
- Live Performance: Ideal for stage settings where maximum projection is required to cut through amplified guitars and bass.
- Studio Recording: Useful for recording tracks that require a sharp, bright attack on the ride and hi-hats thanks to the nylon tip.
- General Percussion: A versatile choice for any drummer who finds standard 3A sticks too light or fragile for their specific technique.
