- Natural Rawhide Head: Features a 10″ natural rawhide head that delivers the organic attack and traditional timbre required for folkloric performance.
- Professional Hardware: Equipped with chrome-plated traditional hardware for a polished look and long-term reliability.

Use Cases
- Traditional Plena Ensembles: Ideal for the “Requinto” role, providing the highest pitch and most intricate rhythmic patterns within a Plena group.

- Cultural Education: An excellent choice for students and educators focusing on the study of Caribbean rhythmic traditions.

Installation
This is a physical percussion instrument that requires no installation. To prepare the instrument for play, ensure the rawhide head is properly tensioned using the J-hook rods. Because natural rawhide is sensitive to humidity and temperature, periodic tuning may be required to maintain the desired pitch.
Compatibility
This instrument is designed for handheld performance. It is compatible with any musical setting requiring traditional Puerto Rican percussion and is intended to be played alongside Punteador and Seguidor Panderos to complete a full Plena rhythmic section.
