Onde is a modern transmutation of the legendary Ondes Martenot, reimagining the 1928 French electronic instrument for the contemporary producer. Rather than a simple recreation, Onde expands the original’s expressive soul by routing performances through live resonating gongs and custom amplifiers, captured at extreme ultrasonic resolution. This process unlocks harmonic dimensions and textures that are physically unattainable through conventional synthesis.
Developed through a partnership between MNTRA Instruments, performer Daniel Áñez, and award-winning sound designers Bigano, Onde utilizes the MNDALA 2 engine to turn deeply captured acoustic sources into a responsive, playable world. By capturing frequencies up to 60-70 kHz, Onde allows users to manipulate sonic territory beyond the human hearing range, resulting in a living instrument that breathes and transforms based on the player’s touch.

Installation
Onde is delivered as a digital license for instant download. The instrument runs within the MNDALA 2 engine; therefore, MNDALA V2.4.2 or higher is required for operation.
After checkout, follow the publisher’s instructions to download the installer and sign in to your MNTRA account for authorization. The software uses a no-dongle, account-based encryption system that binds the instrument to your specific system. Once installed, perform a standard plugin scan within your DAW to locate the VST3, AU, or AAX files.
