Description
Overview
The Electro-Harmonix Neo Mistress Flanger delivers the lush, sweeping modulation that has made Electro-Harmonix a staple in the world of flanging. Designed to capture the essence of the classic Mistress, the Neo Mistress allows players to precisely adjust the harmonic sweep to create a wide range of tonal densities, from subtle shimmering textures to intense, jet-plane swoops.
By utilizing a sophisticated feedback system, this pedal determines exactly how much of the processed signal is returned to the original, resulting in some of the sweetest and most professional modulation available in a compact, affordable format.
Key Details
- Classic Flanging Engine: Delivers authentic, rich flanger sounds with dedicated controls for sweep and speed.
- Filter Matrix Mode: A specialized feature that freezes the flanger’s sweep, granting the user manual control over the flanger setting for unique sonic explorations.
- Feedback Control: Precisely manage the amount of processed signal fed back into the original to shape the intensity and character of the effect.
- True Bypass: Ensures your original signal remains pure and unaffected when the pedal is disengaged.
Use Cases
- Psychedelic Textures: Use slow speed and high feedback to create the swirling, hypnotic sounds characteristic of 60s and 70s studio recordings.
- Dynamic Performance: Engage the Filter Matrix Mode to manually manipulate the sweep during a song for dramatic, evolving tonal shifts.
- Subtle Depth: Set a fast speed with low feedback to add a shimmering, metallic movement to clean guitar passages.
