Description

Product Overview

Overview

Naada Tenor Sax for GeoShred Studio brings the iconic, soulful voice of the jazz tenor saxophone to your digital studio through advanced physical modeling. Unlike traditional sample libraries, this instrument is powered by the AccelMatrix Naada engine, which eschews static recordings in favor of real-time acoustic simulation. Every note is generated as a continuous simulation of a conical-bore brass instrument, allowing for a level of fluidity and realism that responds dynamically to every gesture.

Designed specifically for the GeoShred Studio environment, Naada Tenor Sax transforms the playing surface into a direct conduit for expression. From the breathy depths of a subtone to the piercing heights of the altissimo register, it captures the full timbral spectrum of a Bb tenor sax. Uniquely, this model is fully polyphonic, enabling you to voice complex saxophone chords, layer independent lines, or sustain rich harmonic pads beneath a soaring solo.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Physical Modeling Engine: Utilizes the AccelMatrix Naada engine to simulate conical-bore acoustics in real-time, ensuring a rounder, more open quality than cylindrical instruments.
  • Continuous Expression: Direct control over embouchure dynamics, breath character, growl intensity, and vibrato depth via pressure and gesture on the playing surface.
  • Polyphonic Capability: Supports simultaneous voices, allowing for chords and layered phrases that exceed the physical limitations of a single-reed instrument.
  • Integrated FX Rack: Features a built-in signal chain including EchoMT, Reverb, and AmpCab processing for professional polishing.
  • Isomorphic Interface: Operates within GeoShred Studio’s surface tuned in perfect fourths, ensuring melodic intervals remain consistent across the grid.
  • Extended Techniques: Seamlessly integrate subtone (breathy low register), growl (simultaneous humming), and altissimo (harmonics above standard range) as continuous variations.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Jazz & R&B Production: Create authentic solo lines with realistic growls and subtone textures characteristic of legendary tenor players.
  • Film Scoring: Layer polyphonic saxophone sections to create lush, cinematic brass pads or tension-filled chords.
  • Live Performance: Use MPE hardware or the GeoShred Control companion app to perform expressive, sliding glissandos and dynamic swells on stage.
  • Experimental Composition: Explore the altissimo range and non-traditional saxophone voicings through the flexible polyphonic engine.
