Description

Product Overview

Overview

Naada Clarinet is a sophisticated physically modeled virtual instrument designed exclusively for GeoShred Studio. Moving beyond the limitations of static sample libraries, Naada Clarinet utilizes the AccelMatrix Naada engine to generate every note as a continuous acoustic simulation. This technology accurately replicates the bore geometry and reed behavior of an African blackwood clarinet, capturing the instrument’s distinctively hollow, rounded tone and the complex timbral shift between its registers.

While it maintains the authentic soul of a woodwind, Naada Clarinet introduces a revolutionary capability: full polyphony. This allows musicians to voice clarinet chords, layer independent melodic lines, or sustain a low register while phrasing in another—creative possibilities that extend far beyond the physical constraints of a traditional clarinet.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Physical Modeling Engine: Powered by AccelMatrix Naada for real-time acoustic simulation, ensuring organic tonal shifts and responsive behavior.
  • Dynamic Register Control: Seamlessly navigate the “break” between the dark, hollow chalumeau register and the brilliant clarion register via continuous gestures.
  • Expressive Articulation: Real-time control over embouchure dynamics, reed behavior, and vibrato depth based on surface pressure.
  • Polyphonic Capability: Supports simultaneous voices for complex harmonic structures and avant-garde layering.
  • Integrated FX Rack: A built-in signal chain featuring EchoMT, Reverb, and AmpCab processing for studio-ready production.
  • Isomorphic Interface: Operates on GeoShred Studio’s surface tuned in perfect fourths, providing consistent melodic intervals across the grid.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Cinematic Scoring: Ideal for creating authentic woodwind textures, from haunting low-end drones to soaring, expressive melodic leads.
  • Live Performance: Use the GeoShred Control companion app (iPhone/iPad) as a multi-touch expressive surface for real-time stage use.
  • Experimental Composition: Leverage polyphony to create clarinet harmonies and textures impossible on a physical instrument.
  • Breath-Controlled MIDI: Integrate wind and breath controllers to map physical lung capacity directly to the instrument’s dynamic response.
Setup Notes

Installation

Naada Clarinet is a software expansion that runs exclusively inside GeoShred Studio. For users who do not already own the host software, a GeoShred Studio license is included with the purchase. Existing GeoShred Studio owners can simply add the Naada Clarinet module to their current installation. The product is delivered via digital license for download and activation.
