“ModPlay is a MIDI LFO built for performance, not just programming — a “”plug-in for your plug-in”” that adds dynamic, ear-catching movement to any instrument or effect. Instead of a static, set-and-forget modulation curve, ModPlay gives you a highly flexible LFO with intuitive Shape, Skew, Phase, and Polarity controls, so you can sculpt a huge variety of shapes in seconds and hear the results in real time.

The real magic is Snapshots: store up to 12 complete ModPlay settings and switch between them live from your MIDI keyboard, no DAW automation required. Record your Snapshot changes right alongside your performance for musical, evolving textures that would take far longer to program by hand.

ModPlay outputs MIDI CC to any plug-in or hardware device with MIDI Learn, so it works seamlessly across your existing rig — synths, guitar amp sims, delays, reverbs, and beyond. With four independent outputs (each with its own level and modulation amount), tempo sync, retrigger modes, and one-click randomization for fresh starting points, ModPlay is designed to eliminate endless tweaking and get you to an exciting result fast.

Use it to create tremolo and rhythmic volume patterns, swells and fade-ins, rotary and stereo-sweep pan effects, accelerating or pitch-warping delay times, effects that swim in and out of the mix, and more.
