MBEQ is an EQ that has been tuned to reflect workflow of Rick Carson, 9x Grammy nominated mixing and mastering engineer and owner of Make Believe Studios in Omaha, Nebraska.Powerful. Intuitive. Sounds Unbelievably good.The UI focuses on the EQ itself to allow you to intuitively concentrate on the sound. It features a set of modifier keys that allow you to “play” the EQ like an instrument; with a little practice you can develop your chops and you can effortlessly dial in the tone you are looking for.It also includes what Rick calls the “Sauce”: an analog modeled topology based on the incredibly rare classic PYE TVT console modules created for the BBC in the 1960’s. This Sauce module includes State Space Extracted transformers and discrete amplifiers – it’s got a lot of character!The EQ is preconfigured with 7 fully parametric bands and features the ability to add more… up to 12 bands.
