- Professional Heads: Features premium quality water buffalo skin heads, providing a traditional, authentic attack and sustain.
- Mirror-Like Finish: The exterior is treated with numerous layers of super high-gloss polish, resulting in a stunning, reflective coat that protects the wood and enhances the instrument’s stage presence.
- Sizing: Includes a 7″ and 8-1/2″ drum configuration for a classic bongo pitch range.
Use Cases
- Live Performance: The high-gloss finish and powerful projection make these bongos ideal for stage use in Latin, Jazz, or World music ensembles.
- Studio Recording: The aged Siam Oak shells provide a controlled resonance that captures cleanly on microphones for professional tracks.
- Cultural Fusion: Perfect for percussionists looking to blend traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms with modern musical arrangements.
Installation
These bongos arrive ready for assembly and tuning. Use the included tuning wrench to adjust the 5/16″ diameter lugs. To achieve the desired pitch, tighten the lugs in a cross-pattern sequence to ensure even tension across the water buffalo skin heads, preventing warping and optimizing tone.
Compatibility
These bongos are compatible with standard percussion accessories, including bongo straps and various mounting hardware designed for 7″ and 8-1/2″ drums.
