MagicDeathEye is the official plugin emulation of the legendary tube compressor designed by Ian Sefchick, mastering engineer at Capitol Records. Loosely based on the Fairchild 660 circuit, this variable gain compressor is engineered to bring the warmth, elegance, and “glue” of high-end studio hardware to your digital workstation. Developed through a year of rigorous circuit and signal analysis by DDMF and Ian Sefchick, the plugin captures the sonic characteristics of the original hardware—including the influence of eight tubes and handwound transformers—while maintaining a reasonable CPU load.
