Description

Overview

EastWest LO-FI is a virtual instrument and production library built for producers who want gritty, degraded, and heavily processed sounds inside the EastWest OPUS ecosystem. It is designed for hip-hop, electronic music, cinematic scoring, ambient textures, and experimental sound design where clean, polished source material is not the goal.

LO-FI reshapes synths, keys, guitars, orchestral textures, vocals, basses, drums, and sound-design material through pitch manipulation, distortion, degradation, and expressive performance controls. The result is a focused toolkit for creating dark, warped, dusty, and modern lo-fi production colors without building every effect chain from scratch.

Installation

After checkout, follow the included EastWest delivery and authorization instructions. Install and authorize through the EastWest Installation Center/OPUS workflow as directed by EastWest. An iLok account is used for authorization; check EastWest’s current requirements for whether a physical iLok USB is needed for your setup.

Compatibility

• Platform: Mac and Windows.
• Player: EastWest OPUS.
• Formats: Standalone, AAX, AU, VST2, and VST3 where supported by the installed OPUS version and host DAW.
• Typical system requirements: macOS 10.13 or later / Windows 10 or later, 64-bit host, 2.7 GHz quad-core processor or better, and 16 GB RAM minimum.
• Authorization: iLok account.
