Description
Overview
The Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple set is a comprehensive pickup upgrade designed to provide a vast spectrum of tonal possibilities within a single instrument. By combining three distinct sensor types—Blue, Silver, and Red—this SSS configuration allows guitarists to navigate everything from vintage warmth to high-output punch without switching guitars. These pickups deliver the versatility of humbucking power while maintaining the sleek profile and clarity of a single-coil configuration, all housed under classic white covers.
Key Details
- Lace Sensor Blue (Neck): Engineered for a warmer, ’50s-inspired humbucking sound. It features slightly increased output to provide a rich, full-bodied tone ideal for melodic leads and jazz.
- Lace Sensor Silver (Middle): Designed to deliver a fat ’70s single-coil character. With increased output and a pronounced midrange, it serves as the ultimate middle position pickup for cutting through a mix.
- Lace Sensor Red (Bridge): The highest output pickup in the Sensor Series. It provides fat, punchy humbucking output, making it the perfect choice for the bridge position when driving an amplifier or pedal.
- SSS Configuration: A complete three-pickup set designed for standard single-coil routing.
- Aesthetic: Finished with professional white covers for a clean, traditional look.
Use Cases
This set is engineered for the “everything” player who refuses to be limited by a single sonic palette. It is highly effective for:
- Genre Hopping: Seamlessly transition between Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, Funk, and Jazz.
- Dynamic Range: Move from the clean, vintage chime of Scotty Moore to the aggressive, high-gain saturation of Slayer or Billy Corgan.
- Studio Versatility: Ideal for session musicians who need a single guitar capable of covering multiple historical eras of tone.
Installation
The Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple set is designed for installation in guitars with standard single-coil pickup routings. Because these sensors utilize a unique design that differs from traditional wire-wound coils, they offer a low-noise profile and a compact fit. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper grounding and optimal wiring of the Blue, Silver, and Red sensors to your control pots.
Compatibility
This set is compatible with guitars featuring standard SSS (three single-coil) pickup configurations. It is designed to fit most traditional Stratocaster-style instruments and other guitars with compatible pickup cavities and spacing.
