Description
Overview
The Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple set is a comprehensive pickup upgrade designed to provide a vast spectrum of tonal possibilities within a single instrument. By combining three distinct sensor types—Blue, Silver, and Red—this SSS configuration allows guitarists to navigate everything from vintage warmth to high-output punch without switching guitars. Finished with classic Cream Covers, these pickups blend modern noise-reduction technology with a timeless aesthetic.
Key Details
- Lace Sensor Blue (Neck): Engineered for a warmer, ’50s-inspired humbucking sound delivered in a single-coil configuration with slightly increased output for rich, full-bodied tones.
- Lace Sensor Silver (Middle): Delivers a fat ’70s single-coil character. It features increased output and enhanced midrange, making it the definitive choice for the middle position.
- Lace Sensor Red (Bridge): The highest output pickup in the Sensor Series. It provides fat, punchy, humbucking-style power, ideal for driving amplifiers and maintaining clarity under heavy gain.
- Noise Reduction: Utilizes Lace Sensor technology to minimize 60-cycle hum and interference while maintaining the clarity of a single-coil.
Use Cases
This set is designed for the versatile musician who requires a “do-it-all” instrument. Because of the varied output levels and frequency responses, it is suitable for a wide array of genres:
- Rock and Metal: Use the Red Sensor in the bridge for high-gain riffs and aggressive leads.
- Blues and Jazz: Utilize the Blue Sensor in the neck for smooth, warm cleans and soulful melodies.
- Funk and Country: Leverage the Silver Sensor’s midrange punch for “quack” and snap in the middle position.
- Studio Recording: Ideal for session players who need to switch from a Scotty Moore vintage vibe to a Billy Corgan wall-of-sound quickly.
Installation
The Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple is designed as a direct replacement for standard single-coil pickups. Installation involves removing existing pickups and soldering the Blue, Silver, and Red sensors into the neck, middle, and bridge positions respectively. The cream covers provide a professional, vintage look that fits most standard Stratocaster-style pickguards.
Compatibility
This set is compatible with guitars featuring a standard SSS (three single-coil) pickup configuration. It is specifically designed for instruments that can accommodate standard single-coil dimensions and wiring.
