Description
Overview
The Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple set provides a comprehensive tonal palette designed to cover a vast spectrum of musical styles. By combining three distinct sensor types in a single-coil configuration, this set eliminates the limitations of traditional pickups, offering everything from vintage warmth to high-output punch. Whether you are chasing the sounds of 1950s rock and roll or modern high-gain rock, this set delivers a “hotter-than-gold” tone that is versatile enough for any professional application.
Key Details
- Lace Sensor Blue (Neck): Engineered for the neck position, providing slightly increased output with a warm, ’50s-style humbucking character while maintaining a single-coil footprint.
- Lace Sensor Silver (Middle): Designed as the ultimate middle position pickup, delivering a fat ’70s single-coil sound with increased output and a pronounced midrange.
- Lace Sensor Red (Bridge): The highest output pickup in the Sensor Series, specifically crafted for the bridge position to provide fat, punchy humbucking output for lead work and heavy rhythms.
- Aesthetic Finish: Features sleek black covers for a professional, understated look on any guitar body.
Use Cases
This set is designed for musicians who require extreme versatility from a single instrument. It is ideally suited for:
- Genre Hopping: Seamlessly transition between Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, Funk, and Jazz.
- Dynamic Range: Move from the clean, warm tones of Scotty Moore or Sinatra-era jazz to the aggressive, high-gain saturation of Billy Corgan or Slayer.
- Studio Recording: Use the distinct voicing of the Blue, Silver, and Red sensors to get specific era-accurate tones without switching guitars.
Installation
The Lace Sensor Ultimate Triple is designed for SSS (three single-coil) configurations. Installation involves replacing existing single-coil pickups. Because these sensors utilize a unique design to achieve humbucking-like performance in a single-coil size, they fit standard single-coil routing. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper grounding and wiring to your existing potentiometer and switch setup.
Compatibility
This pickup set is compatible with guitars featuring standard single-coil pickup routings and SSS configurations. It is designed to fit most traditional Stratocaster-style instruments.
