Description
Overview
The Lace Sensor Triple Rainbow Pickup Set is a professionally curated trio of pickups designed to deliver a comprehensive spectrum of tones, ranging from sweet, Texas-inspired blues to gritty, high-output rock. This set replaces standard single-coils with Lace Sensor technology, providing the classic single-coil character and clarity while eliminating the unwanted 60-cycle hum and noise typically associated with traditional pickups.
Key Details
- Lace Sensor Emerald (Neck): Delivers a classic Texas-inspired tone reminiscent of SRV and Billy Gibbons. It provides a clear, soulful voice with a resistance of 5.7k.
- Lace Sensor Silver RWRP (Middle): Engineered for a fat ’70s single-coil sound. With increased output and a pronounced midrange (7.1k), it serves as the ultimate middle-position pickup. The RWRP (Reverse Wound Reverse Polarity) design ensures hum-canceling operation when paired with the neck or bridge pickups.
- Lace Sensor Purple (Bridge): The hottest pickup in the series (10.5k), offering an overwound single-coil tone that sits between the Burgundy and Blue Sensors. It is designed for high-gain bridge applications or to provide a P-90-style punch in the neck.
- Noise Reduction: Utilizes proprietary Lace Sensor technology to provide high-fidelity sound without the interference and noise of standard single-coils.
Use Cases
This set is specifically tailored for guitarists playing Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, and Boogie. It is an ideal choice for players seeking the specific sonic signatures of artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Gibbons, and Dave Grissom. Whether you need a crystalline clean for country chicken-picking or a thick, saturated drive for hard rock, the Triple Rainbow set covers the entire dynamic range.
Installation
These pickups are designed as replacements for standard single-coil slots. Installation involves removing the existing pickups and soldering the Lace Sensors into the guitar’s existing circuitry. Because the Silver pickup is RWRP, it integrates seamlessly into standard 5-way switch configurations to provide noise-free “in-between” positions.
Compatibility
This set is compatible with guitars featuring standard single-coil pickup routings and spacing. It is specifically designed for use in electric guitars requiring a high-output, low-noise alternative to traditional single-coil pickups.
