Description
Overview
The Tycoon Percussion Jingled Frame Drum is a professional-grade percussion instrument designed to expand the sonic palette of the traditional frame drum. By integrating a jingle feature into a classic frame design, this drum provides a new dimension of texture and shimmer, allowing players to blend deep resonant tones with bright, metallic accents.
Built with the same rigorous standards as Tycoon’s standard frame drum line, this instrument combines traditional materials with a solid build quality to ensure reliability and a rich, organic sound profile.
Key Details
- Siam Oak Shell: Constructed from high-quality Siam Oak, providing a sturdy frame and a warm, resonant acoustic foundation.
- Natural Goat Skin Head: Features a pre-tuned natural goat skin head for an authentic, earthy tone and responsive playability.
- Integrated Jingles: Added jingle elements provide a shimmering metallic layer that complements the drum’s primary resonance.
- Included Accessory: Comes complete with a wooden tipper to ensure the correct striking technique and protect the natural skin head.
Use Cases
- World Music & Folk: Ideal for musicians performing traditional or contemporary world music where a blend of skin and metal percussion is required.
- Acoustic Accompaniment: Perfect for adding rhythmic texture to unplugged sets, singer-songwriter performances, or small ensemble arrangements.
- Experimental Percussion: A versatile tool for percussionists looking to layer sounds or create atmospheric textures in a studio or live setting.
Installation
This instrument is ready for immediate use upon arrival. Because the natural goat skin head is pre-tuned, no complex assembly is required. To maintain the head’s tension, store the drum in a climate-controlled environment to prevent the natural skin from reacting to extreme humidity or temperature changes.
Compatibility
This is a physical percussion instrument. It is compatible with any musical setting, from handheld performance to integration into a larger percussion rig. It is designed for use with the included wooden tipper or appropriate soft-mallet percussion tools.
