Jensen Silverbird 12 Large Cabs – SuperCabinet IR Library This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Silverbird 12 Large. The Silverbird 12 Large gives you a little more oomph compared to the Compact version. SuperCabinet or TH-U Premium are Required. The Silverbird 12 is a powerful and versatile tone machine, capable of a superb rendition of high-gain tones, especially in large, closed-back enclosures such as the classic 4×12 closed-back and the 2×12 open and closed-back custom-built ones. These enclosures are captured with their trademark extended range of 18 mics, each in 16 different positions.

Every microphone was moved to four different horizontal positions (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone and Cone Edge) and two distances and two angulations, for a total of 16 IRs each. All the measurement set has been repeated for each one of the cabinets in the library. All IRs have been phase aligned and they can be blended without phase cancellations. Overloud’s TH-U will be updated to v.1.4.26 with Fluid IR now available for all TH-U Cabinets and all SuperCabinet IR Libraries! Fluid IRs are an advanced form of impulse responses that offer more detailed sonic characteristics compared to traditional IRs. Unlike regular IRs that merely mimic a speaker's frequency response, Fluid IRs also reproduce the speaker's dynamic behavior and harmonics.

This enhancement delivers a tone that is thicker, more lifelike, and direct, with better management of the bass frequencies. As of version 1.4.26, all cabinets in TH-U and all of the SuperCabinet libraries have been upgraded to include Fluid IRs, which are provided to users as a free update. Additionally, users have the option to upload their own conventional IRs into TH-U, taking advantage of Overloud's proprietary Fluid IR technology. This exciting feature utilizes an AI algorithm trained to transform your IRs by recreating their dynamic and harmonic responses.
