You can now modulate over 100 parameters for complex, animated sounds. Just like the original Iris, you can load your own sampled sounds and dissect them to create your own unique tones and sonic textures. And with its redesigned interface, extensive visual feedback, and stellar filters and effects, there’s a world of creativity waiting in the iZotope Iris 2 synth plug-in. With iZotope’s Iris 2, you can create synthesized sounds never before possible. Iris uses iZotope’s acclaimed spectral processing (introduced in iZotope’s RX audio restoration software), to allow you to isolate specific elements of a sound sample. The sound quality goes far beyond what you would get from using a bandpass filter to isolate frequency bands. You can, for example, take a sample of a piano, isolate just the overtones and harmonics, and layer that on top of the fundamental notes of a guitar, to create aunique hybrid instrument. And no matter what type of sound you create, you can add a sub-oscillator waveform to the sound to add extra impact and musicality.
