Description
Overview
Interakt by DIGITALBRAIN is a powerful 64-bit standalone multi-sampler software specifically engineered for the creation of high-quality sound effects. Designed for versatility, it serves as a creative audio morphing and processing tool ideal for games, mobile apps, films, music, and various multimedia projects.
The software provides a user-friendly environment where you can blend and combine existing sound effects to forge entirely new sonic identities. By allowing the manual selection of specific audio regions and the independent manipulation of each source, Interakt gives sound designers precise control over the final output.
Key Details
- Dropzone Functionality: Quickly import files via Drag&Drop. Select up to 8 distinct audio file regions from a single file, pre-listen to selections, define precise start and end points, and apply Pitch Bend.
- Layering System: Features 4 dedicated layer sections. Users can Drag&Drop files from the browser or move selections directly from the Dropzone into layers for complex sound stacking.
- Precision Controls: Each layer includes Panorama controls, Pitch-Shifting, and Envelope settings to shape the character of the sound.
- Noise Management: Integrated fade-in and fade-out settings ensure smooth triggering of audio selections and eliminate unwanted clicks or pops.
- Flexible Triggering: Map dropzone selections and layers to a MIDI keyboard or use your computer’s keyboard for immediate playback.
- Mastering & Export: Enhance your final sound by adding up to 2 VST/AU plugins to the master output. Record the master output at high resolutions up to 192kHz/32-bit (depending on your soundcard) or use the Batch Export feature for selections and layers.
- Session Management: Save and load entire session data to maintain your workflow across different projects.
Use Cases
- Game & App Development: Creating custom foley, UI sounds, and atmospheric effects that require precise layering and morphing.
- Film Sound Design: Building complex cinematic textures by blending multiple organic sound sources into a single, cohesive effect.
- Music Production: Designing unique percussive hits or experimental textures using the multi-sampler’s layering and pitch-shifting capabilities.
- Rapid Prototyping: Using the computer keyboard triggering and Drag&Drop workflow to quickly audition and arrange sound fragments.
