Description
Overview
The Hinterland Neo Guitar Series by MusicalSampling is a professional fingerstyle electric guitar library engineered to bring emotional depth and versatile textures to modern music productions. By capturing the nuanced motion of fingerstyle playing through an advanced sound engine, Hinterland allows composers and producers to achieve realistic guitar articulations without the need for a physical session player.
From soft, intimate atmospheres to raw, high-energy distorted tones, this library provides a comprehensive toolkit for a wide range of sonic needs. Whether you are looking for the smooth, clean tones of the “Subway” preset or the aggressive drive of “Take The Lead,” Hinterland delivers a natural and expressive performance recorded at high-fidelity 48kHz / 24-bit resolution.
Key Details
- Comprehensive Preset Library: Includes 13 curated presets. 11 of these feature four distinct sound modes: Sustains, Legato, Harmonics, and Fret Slides.
- Advanced Articulation Engine: Features a Master Legato Engine that supports various legato types controlled by velocity, with precise expression adjustments available via the modwheel.
- Specialized Ambient Textures: Includes two dedicated “Bowed” patches and a “Pedal Swells & Pads” patch for cinematic depth and ethereal layers.
- Production Flexibility:
Doubler Patches: Specifically designed to create authentic double-tracking effects.
Base Patches: Raw recordings provided for users who prefer to apply their own external effects and signal chains.
- High-Fidelity Audio: 2.5 GB of compressed NCW format samples recorded at 48kHz / 24-bit for professional clarity.
Use Cases
- Cinematic Scoring: Utilize the Bowed and Pedal Swell patches to create haunting, atmospheric backgrounds or emotional underscores for film and media.
- Modern Pop & Indie Production: Use clean fingerstyle presets for intimate verses or distorted patches for rich, natural-sounding guitar hooks.
- Dynamic Arrangements: Integrate harmonics and fret slides to add realistic “human” imperfections and professional flourishes to MIDI compositions.
- Custom Sound Design: Use the Base patches as a clean slate for heavy processing, saturation, or unique spatial effects.
