Overview
The Gibraltar Double Conga Stand (Model 9517) is a professional-grade hardware solution designed to provide maximum stability and security for percussionists. Engineered for heavy-duty use, this stand allows for the simultaneous mounting of two congas, reducing the footprint of your percussion rig while ensuring your instruments remain rock-solid during high-energy performances.
Key Details
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with a double-braced design to prevent tipping and withstand the weight of professional conga shells.
- Universal Mounting: Specifically engineered to fit most standard L-bracket conga mounts, making it compatible with a wide variety of percussion brands.
- Adjustable Shell Supports: Includes integrated supports that can be adjusted to fit different shell diameters and depths, ensuring a snug and secure fit.
- Enhanced Stability: The reinforced bracing provides a low center of gravity, essential for maintaining balance during aggressive playing.
Use Cases
This stand is ideal for professional percussionists and session drummers who need to integrate multiple congas into a single setup without sacrificing stability. It is particularly useful for live stage performances where floor space is limited, or in studio environments where a consistent, non-shifting instrument position is required for recording.
Installation
Setup is straightforward and requires minimal tools. Begin by unfolding the double-braced legs and ensuring the base is level. Align your congas’ L-brackets with the mounting hardware on the stand. Once the drums are seated, adjust the shell supports to firmly grip the body of the instruments, preventing lateral movement or rotation during play.
Compatibility
- Mounting Style: Compatible with most standard L-bracket conga mounts.
- Instrument Type: Designed for use with standard conga drums.
