Description
Overview
The Gibraltar 4 Inch Mini Cymbal Stacker is a precision-engineered hardware accessory designed for drummers looking to expand their sonic palette. This compact stacker allows for the secure mounting of small cymbals or effects cymbals, enabling the creation of “stacks” that produce a shorter, trashier, and more aggressive sound compared to traditional single cymbals.
Key Details
- Compact Design: Specifically sized at 4 inches to accommodate mini cymbals and splashes.
- Durable Construction: Built by Gibraltar to withstand the high-impact environment of active drumming.
- Lightweight Profile: Weighs only 0.2 lbs, ensuring that it adds minimal bulk to your cymbal stand or mount.
- Precision Fit: Engineered for a secure hold to prevent slippage during intense performance.
Use Cases
- Creating Trashy Textures: Ideal for stacking two small splashes or a mini crash to achieve a “white noise” or “trashy” accent sound.
- Space Saving: Perfect for tight drum setups where a full-sized stack would be too cumbersome.
- Experimental Percussion: Useful for percussionists who want to mount small metallic accents or custom effects cymbals in a stable, vertical configuration.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires no specialized tools. The stacker is designed to slide onto a standard cymbal stand or mount. Once positioned, simply place your mini cymbals onto the stacker and secure them with standard cymbal felts and wing nuts to lock the stack in place. Ensure the wing nuts are tightened sufficiently to prevent the cymbals from shifting during play.
Compatibility
- Cymbal Size: Optimized for 4-inch mini cymbals and small splashes.
- Hardware: Compatible with standard drum hardware and cymbal stands.
