Key Details
- Premium Maple Construction: Utilizes genuine maple to ensure durability and a natural acoustic response.
- Precision Fit: Specifically engineered for 22-inch bass drums to provide a secure, airtight seal for optimal tuning.
- Sleek Black Finish: A professional black exterior that resists wear and enhances the visual appeal of the kit.
- Lightweight yet Rigid: Weighing only 1.86 lbs, it provides the necessary strength to hold high tension without adding excessive bulk to the shell.
Use Cases
- Hardware Replacement: An ideal solution for replacing cracked, warped, or worn-out hoops on a 22-inch bass drum.
- Tonal Upgrading: Switching to a maple hoop can help refine the attack and resonance of the bass drum compared to cheaper composite alternatives.
- Aesthetic Customization: Perfect for drummers looking to convert their kit to a “blacked-out” hardware look.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires basic drum tuning tools. Remove the existing hoop and head, place the new 22-inch maple hoop against the bearing edge, and seat the bass drum head. Tighten the tension rods in a cross-pattern to ensure the hoop is seated evenly around the shell, preventing air leaks and ensuring a consistent pitch across the drum head.
Compatibility
- Drum Size: Specifically designed for 22-inch diameter bass drums.
- Material Compatibility: Works with all standard bass drum shells regardless of shell material (Maple, Birch, Mahogany, etc.).
- Hardware: Compatible with standard bass drum tension rods and lugs.
