Unlike traditional sample-based libraries, GeoViola is powered by the SWAM engine from Audio Modeling, which simulates bow-string interaction as a live acoustic event in real time. This allows for seamless transitions and organic phrasing that static samples cannot replicate.

By leveraging the multi-row continuous pitch surface of GeoShred Studio, performers gain direct gestural control over the viola’s unique tonal characteristics. From the dark, weighted resonance of the C string to the singing legato of the upper register, the instrument responds continuously to touch and pressure, providing professional-grade expression for composers and performers alike.
