The Paiste Formula 602 Paperthin Crash is a masterwork of Swiss craftsmanship, bringing back one of the most legendary and preferred cymbal lines in drumming history. Forged from the renowned 602 Bronze (CuSn20), this cymbal is designed for musicians who prioritize a fine, pure, and delicate musical tone. Every piece is handcrafted from start to finish, ensuring a level of clarity and consistency that defines the Formula 602 Classic Sounds series.
This 20-inch Paperthin model is specifically engineered for sensitivity. It delivers a warm, silvery, and airy sound character with a mystical quality, making it an essential tool for drummers who require a graceful crash that responds to the lightest touch.

Installation
The Formula 602 Paperthin Crash is a standard B20-style alloy cymbal. It can be mounted on any standard cymbal stand using a traditional felt and plastic sleeve setup. Due to its extra thin weight and delicate nature, it is recommended to use soft felts to protect the surface and avoid over-tightening the wingnut to allow the cymbal to vibrate freely.
Compatibility
This cymbal is compatible with all standard percussion hardware, including:
- Standard boom and straight cymbal stands
- Multi-cymbal mounts and racks
- Various mallet, brush, and stick types (optimized for light-weight implements)
