Description
Overview
The Eternal Black Power 5B Wood Drum Sticks by Vater Percussion are engineered for drummers who require a balance of power, durability, and a professional aesthetic. Built from high-grade American Hickory, these sticks are designed to withstand the rigors of heavy hitting while providing the shock absorption necessary for long sessions. The 5B profile offers a substantial feel and increased volume, making them an ideal choice for genres that demand a strong backbeat and commanding presence behind the kit.
Key Details
- Premium American Hickory: Constructed using Shellbark and Shagbark Hickory, the two most durable species, ensuring maximum longevity and strength.
- Precision Moisture Control: Dowels are maintained at a strict 10%-12% moisture content, specifically optimized for striking tools to enhance feel and prevent premature breakage.
- 5B Diameter: A medium-thick profile that provides more power and projection than a standard 5A, without sacrificing too much agility.
- Sustainable Sourcing: Produced with an environmental commitment where new trees are planted for every Hickory tree harvested.
Use Cases
- Rock and Metal: Perfect for high-volume environments where a heavier stick is needed to cut through amplified guitars and bass.
- Studio Recording: Ideal for recording tracks that require a thick, punchy snare sound and powerful cymbal crashes.
- Live Performance: A reliable choice for touring drummers who need a durable stick that can handle intense nightly sets.
- General Percussion: Versatile enough for any drummer looking to move up from a 5A for added weight and volume.
Installation
No installation is required. These sticks are ready for immediate use. For optimal performance, it is recommended to store them in a dry environment to maintain the specific moisture content of the Hickory wood.
Compatibility
These sticks are compatible with all standard acoustic drum kits, including snare drums, tom-toms, and a full range of cymbals. They are suitable for all skill levels, from intermediate to professional drummers.
