The Dubmaster – Liquid Delay is a new era in the digital delay area. It brings the original, specific liquid sound that could never be heard from classic delay systems. Even though the internal structure of the Liquid Delay is very specific, its generated sound is still very musical, pleasant and natural. It fills your tracks with a special atmosphere and adds very original sounds to your records. The Dubmaster is a BPM-synchronized delay with a special feature called DubRhythm, which lets you set the smooth non-rhythmic distortion that makes the specific smoked sound known from Jamaican reggae and dub tracks. It includes all the necessary features for a wide spectrum of fascinating echoes: a delay module for setting various numbers of stages (1-8), feedback amount, LR pan and Dry/Wet. The original liquid sound is also generated by a unique FX module called Liquid Phase — a special modulation effect combining a phase modulator and a flanger. It allows a wide spectrum of variously colored echoes: from crystal glittering sound through stoned Jamaica vintage to total psychedelic twisted modulations. The sound is further enhanced by a filter unit with three analog-modeled Low pass, Band pass and High pass filters with adjustable Cutoff, Resonance and Drive (classic saturated distorted sound). A free-running LFO can modulate the filter with Saw, Sine, Triangle and Square waves with adjustable rate and depth. The Dubmaster is recommended on a single FX channel together with additional reverb. It sounds great with dub beats and percussions, beautiful with any acoustic guitar or piano — but it is not only a reggae/dub delay: it also sounds great in styles from nu-jazz to abstract hip-hop, from pop to electronic music, breakbeat, psytrance or chillout.
