Description
Overview
The DRUMnBASE Sound Stage Persian Style Drum Rug in Original Red is a professional-grade flooring solution engineered specifically for drummers who require both aesthetic elegance and high-performance acoustic isolation. Combining the classic look of a Persian rug with advanced sound-dampening technology, this rug serves as a critical interface between your kit and the floor.
Designed to solve the common problems of kit migration and noise complaints, the Sound Stage series is ISO tested and certified to significantly reduce impact noise. Whether you are managing a loud acoustic kit or a high-impact electronic setup, this rug provides the stability and sonic refinement needed for a professional playing environment.
Key Details
- Certified Noise Reduction: ISO tested and certified to reduce impact noise by 27dB (approximately 99.8%), drastically minimizing sound transmission through the floor.
- Acoustic Enhancement: Provides “floating” suspension properties for acoustic drums, which helps open up the sound, reduces choking, and delivers deeper tones with increased low-end presence.
- Electronic Drum Optimization: Specifically engineered to minimize the mechanical vibration and impact noise associated with e-drum pedals and pads.
- Premium Aesthetics: Features a sophisticated Persian Style design in Original Red, allowing it to blend seamlessly into home studios or professional stages.
- Heavy-Duty Build: Weighs 21.44 lbs, ensuring the rug stays firmly in place even during aggressive playing sessions.
Use Cases
- Electronic Drumming: Ideal for apartment dwellers or home studio owners who need to reduce the thumping noise transmitted to neighbors or lower floors.
- Acoustic Drum Tuning: Perfect for drummers seeking a fuller, more resonant tone by decoupling the kit from hard surfaces to prevent sound absorption/choking.
- Professional Stages: A reliable choice for touring musicians who need a non-slip surface that looks professional under stage lighting.
- Recording Studios: Used in tracking rooms to control floor reflections and stabilize heavy hardware.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires no tools. Simply clear the desired area of your playing space and roll out the rug. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before placement. Position your drum throne and bass drum pedal first to center your kit, then arrange the remaining hardware. Due to its significant weight and certified density, the rug will naturally grip the floor to prevent sliding during performance.
Compatibility
This rug is compatible with all types of drum kits, including:
- Electronic Kits: All brands and models of e-drums and percussion pads.
- Acoustic Kits: Standard drum sets, jazz kits, and orchestral percussion.
- Floor Types: Suitable for use on hardwood, tile, laminate, and concrete surfaces.
