Overview
The Gibraltar Double Bass Drum Click Pad is a professional-grade percussion accessory designed to enhance the sonic profile of your kick drum. By adding a targeted point of impact to the batter head, this pad introduces a sharp, defined attack to every stroke, ensuring your bass drum cuts through the mix with increased clarity and presence.
Key Details
- Enhanced Attack: Specifically engineered to add a “click” sound to the bass drum, providing a more articulated and punchy response.
- Durable Construction: Features a double mylar pad reinforced with an internal metal disk for maximum longevity and consistent tonal response.
- Head Protection: Acts as a sacrificial barrier between the beater and the drum skin, protecting the batter head from premature wear and impact damage.
- Ultra-Slim Profile: Designed with a minimal footprint to ensure it does not interfere with the natural resonance of the drum shell.
Use Cases
- Live Performance: Ideal for drummers playing in loud environments or high-gain genres (such as Rock, Metal, or Gospel) where a defined “click” is necessary for the kick to be heard.
- Studio Recording: Provides a natural way to add high-end transient attack to a bass drum recording without relying solely on EQ or artificial samples.
- Head Preservation: Perfect for heavy hitters who want to extend the life of their expensive drum heads by shielding the primary impact zone.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires no permanent modifications to your equipment. The pad is designed to be attached directly to the batter head of the bass drum. Position the pad at the primary strike point where the beater makes contact to achieve the desired attack and protection.
Compatibility
This click pad is universally compatible with most standard bass drum batter heads. It is designed for use with standard bass drum beaters across various brands and materials.
