Overview
The Gibraltar Connecting Shaft With U-joint is a professional-grade percussion hardware accessory designed to provide flexible connectivity between drum hardware components. Engineered for stability and versatility, this shaft allows drummers to extend their reach or connect pedals and accessories at angles that would be impossible with a standard straight shaft.
Key Details
- Universal U-Joint: Features a high-quality universal joint that allows for multi-directional angling, ensuring a precise fit for custom hardware configurations.
- Durable Construction: Built to withstand the rigors of the stage and studio, providing a secure, wobble-free connection.
- Optimized Dimensions: With a length of 14 inches, it provides ample extension without adding unnecessary bulk to the drum kit.
- Lightweight Design: Weighing only 0.65 lbs, it adds minimal weight to your hardware setup while maintaining structural integrity.
Use Cases
- Remote Hi-Hat Setup: Ideal for connecting a hi-hat pedal to a remote hi-hat stand when the pedal cannot be placed directly in line with the stand.
- Custom Pedal Extensions: Useful for drummers using double-bass setups or auxiliary percussion pedals that require a specific angle to clear other hardware.
- Hardware Modification: Perfect for DIY hardware modifications where a standard straight connecting rod is insufficient for the desired layout.
Installation
Installation is straightforward and requires no specialized tools. Simply slide the shaft ends into the compatible hardware sockets and tighten the locking mechanisms. The U-joint should be positioned at the desired angle before final tightening to ensure the most efficient transfer of motion from the pedal to the accessory.
Compatibility
This connecting shaft is designed for use with Gibraltar percussion hardware and other industry-standard hardware that utilizes compatible shaft diameters. Please verify the diameter of your existing hardware sockets to ensure a secure fit.
