Description

Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Eddi3 212 T75 SuperCabinet IR Library is a professional-grade impulse response collection designed specifically for the Overloud ecosystem. This library is a meticulous capture of an EVH 2×12 cabinet equipped with legendary Celestion G12-T75 speakers, providing a powerful, high-gain sonic foundation ideal for metal and hard rock productions.

To ensure absolute precision, these captures were performed using a motorized mic stand, guaranteeing consistent measurements across the entire library. The result is a massive collection of over 300 IRs that translate the aggressive mid-range and firm low-end of the G12-T75 into your digital workflow.

What Stands Out

Key Details

Cabinet Construction: Straight front, closed-back design built from birch plywood for maximum punch and resonance.
Speaker Profile: Features Celestion G12-T75 speakers, known for huge, firm low-end, aggressive mids, and a softened top-end to tame harsh high-gain frequencies.
Extensive Capture Set: Includes more than 300 IRs created using 12 different microphones.
Precision Positioning: Each microphone was captured across 8 to 16 positions, including four horizontal placements (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, and Cone Edge) at two different distances.
Off-Axis Options: Select microphones include 45-degree off-axis measurements for added tonal variety.
Premium Preamps: All measurement sets were recorded through two distinct high-end preamps: a Neve 1073 and a German preamp.

Best For

Use Cases

Modern Metal Production: Leverage the firm low-end and aggressive mids of the T75 speakers to create a wall of sound for rhythm guitars.
High-Gain Amp Modeling: Pair this library with high-gain virtual amplifiers to achieve a polished, “record-ready” tone without the need for a physical cabinet and microphones.
Tonal Sculpting: Use the vast array of mic positions and preamp choices to dial in the exact balance of brightness and warmth required for your specific mix.
