Description

Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Bogie RCT 1×12 HDOG is a professional-grade SuperCabinet IR Library designed to bring the authentic sound of a high-end guitar cabinet into your digital workspace. This library is a meticulous capture of a Mesa* Boogie 1×12 Mini Rectifier 19 SL featuring Eminence* Hempdog 12 speakers. The cabinet itself is constructed from Marine Grade Baltic Birch plywood with a slanted front and open back, delivering a compact yet powerful sonic footprint.

The heart of this library is the Pete Anderson-designed Eminence speaker, which blends the organic warmth of the Cannabis Rex with the crisp top-end clarity of the Legend EM. To ensure absolute precision, captures were performed using a motorized mic stand, providing consistent measurements across the entire library. With over 300 IRs, this collection offers an exhaustive range of tonal options for guitarists and producers.

Note: This product is an expansion library. Overloud SuperCabinet or TH-U Premium is required for use.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Extensive Microphone Selection: Includes captures from industry-standard microphones including the Audio Technica* 2035, Beyerdynamic* M160, Electrovoice* RE20, and Sennheiser* MD21, MD421, and MD441.
  • Systematic Capture Process: Each microphone was captured at four horizontal positions (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, and Cone Edge) and two different distances, totaling eight IRs per mic.
  • Advanced Variations: Select microphones include off-axis measurements (45 degrees) to provide additional spatial depth and character.
  • Dual Preamp Character: Every measurement set was repeated using two distinct preamps—a Neve* 1073 and a high-end German preamp—allowing you to choose the saturation and color of your signal chain.
  • Phase Aligned: All IRs are phase-aligned, enabling you to blend multiple captures without risking phase cancellation.
  • Flexible Workflow: Features graphical IR browsing, a unique Multiband mode for composing new tones, and the ability to export crafted IRs as .wav files for use in other hardware modelers or software loaders.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Professional Studio Production: Ideal for mixing and recording sessions where a consistent, high-fidelity Rectifier cabinet sound is required without the need for physical mic placement.
  • Custom Tone Shaping: Perfect for producers who want to blend multiple microphones and preamps to create massive, custom stereo guitar tones.
  • Hardware Integration: Use the export function to move your meticulously crafted SuperCabinet tones into your favorite hardware amp modelers for live performance.
  • Sound Design: Utilize the Multiband mode to surgically alter cabinet responses for specific frequency needs in a dense mix.
