Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Paul Jimi100 is a professional expansion library for Overloud TH-U, meticulously designed to recreate the legendary sound of the Paul Reed Smith HDRX100 head. This library captures the essence of Jimi Hendrix’s Woodstock-era amp circuitry, utilizing a period-correct tube configuration to deliver the massive dynamic range and organic response characteristic of classic British non-master-volume amplifiers.

Unlike standard modeling, this library utilizes Overloud’s advanced capturing technology to record the nonlinear and dynamic response of the entire signal chain. This includes the amplifier, cabinet, microphones, preamplifiers, and the specific room acoustics, resulting in 210 high-fidelity rigs that provide a consistent, studio-grade reproduction of these iconic setups across various guitars and interfaces.

Best For

Use Cases

  • Vintage Rock Production: Perfect for achieving the “wall of sound” and expressive dynamics required for 60s and 70s psychedelic and hard rock.
  • Studio Recording: Provides an immediate, polished guitar tone that eliminates the need for expensive mic placement and room treatment.
  • Live Performance: Use the Rig Player within TH-U to deploy consistent, high-gain or clean-edge tones that respond naturally to your playing dynamics.
