Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Gas Herbi is a premium expansion library for Overloud TH-U, meticulously designed to recreate the legendary sound of the Diezel Herbert amplifier. Known for its massive tone and versatility, the Herbert is a milestone in amplifier design, and this library brings that power directly into your DAW.

Featuring 104 professionally captured rigs, Gas Herbi provides an exhaustive range of tones across three independent channels. Whether you are seeking crushing high-gain saturation or a refined, huge clean tone, this library offers the versatility required for almost every guitar genre, from modern metal to complex fusion.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Comprehensive Capture: Includes 104 high-fidelity rigs based on the Diezel Herbert.
  • Premium Cabinet Selection:
    • Framus Cobra 4×12 (Celestion G12M)
    • Marshall 4×12 (Celestion V30)
    • Randall KH 4×12 (Celestion V30)
    • EVH 5150III 4×12 (Celestion G12EVH)
    • Engl 2×12 (Celestion V30)
    • Mesa Boogie 2×12 (Celestion Creamback M65, V-Type)
  • Professional Microphone Array: Captured using industry-standard mics including Shure SM57, SM7, SM58, Sennheiser MD421, e609, Beyerdynamic M160, and Audiotechnica AT2035.
  • Integrated Drive Pedals: Rigs include captures of the MXR Modified OD, Mesa Boogie Flux Drive, Protone Attack OD, and Boss SD1/TS808 Mods.
Best For

Use Cases

  • High-Gain Production: Ideal for metal and hard rock producers needing the “wall of sound” characteristic of Diezel amplification.
  • Studio Recording: Perfect for guitarists who want a world-class amp tone without the need for a physical cabinet and high-volume recording.
  • Sound Design: Useful for creating thick, harmonically rich guitar textures for cinematic scores or industrial soundscapes.
  • Live Performance: Provides a stable, repeatable, and professional guitar tone for live playback via TH-U.
Setup Notes

Installation

After purchase, follow the publisher’s instructions to download the library and activate your digital license. The Gas Herbi library is an expansion and must be installed within the Overloud TH-U environment. Ensure you have your serial number and account information ready during the authorization process. Once installed, perform a plugin scan in your DAW to access the new rigs.
