Description

Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Fender PBS Rig Library for TH-U is a professional-grade capture of an authentic 1967 Fender Bassman 50 Watt AB165 head. Powered by 6L6 power tubes, the AB165 model represents a critical transition between the mid-60s Blackface and later Silverface eras, widely regarded as the best-sounding model in the series. While originally designed for electric bass, this library excels as a clean, soaring guitar amplifier, providing the classic ’60s chime essential for Stratocaster and Telecaster players.

Utilizing Overloud’s proprietary capturing technology, this library goes beyond standard modeling. It captures the entire signal chain—including the nonlinear dynamic response of the amplifier, the cabinet, microphones, preamplifiers, and the specific room acoustics—to deliver 81 meticulously crafted rigs. To ensure immediate usability, every Rig Library includes TH-U Essentials, an all-in-one platform featuring the Rig Player and a foundational set of popular amps, cabs, and effects.
