Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Bogie Tweed Rig Library for Overloud TH-U is a professional expansion library designed to meticulously recreate the sonic characteristics of an authentic Boogie California Tweed. By merging classic tweed circuitry with modern performance capabilities, this library provides a versatile palette of tones centered around a single-channel amplifier featuring five distinct power voices.

This comprehensive collection includes 115 high-fidelity rigs, each captured using a vast array of premium cabinets, microphones, and drive pedals to ensure a studio-grade guitar experience within your DAW.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Amplifier Profile: Authentic capture of a Boogie California Tweed with five power voices for varied saturation and response.
  • Extensive Rig Library: 115 curated rigs combining different pedal, cab, and mic configurations.
  • Premium Cabinet Selection:
    • Mesa Boogie: California Tweed 2×12 (Celestion V30 UK), 4×12 (Celestion A-Type, V30), Compact 2×12 (Weber FC12), and 1×12 (Mesa Boogie EV12).
    • Fender: ’75 2×12 (Oxford 12T6), Tweed 1×12 (Celestion Alnico Blue), and Super Reverb 4×10 (Fender CTS).
    • Victory: 1×12 (Celestion Rola G12H30 Greenback).
  • Professional Microphone Array: Captures utilizing Shure (SM57, SM58, SM7, Unidyne III), Neumann (KM184, U87, TLM103), Sennheiser (MD421, e609), Beyerdynamic (M160), and Audiotechnica (AT2035).
  • Integrated Drive Pedals: Rigs include captures of the MXR Berzerker OD and the MXR Joe Bonamassa Fet Driver.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Studio Production: Ideal for producers needing the organic, harmonically rich saturation of a vintage-style tweed amp without the noise and volume of a physical tube rig.
  • Genre Versatility: Perfect for Blues, Classic Rock, Country, and Indie projects where a responsive, “edge-of-breakup” tone is required.
  • Sound Design: Useful for guitarists who need a wide variety of pre-configured, professional-grade signal chains to quickly audition different cabinet and mic combinations.
