Description

Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Bogie Dual Reverb 25 is a professional expansion rig library for the Overloud TH-U platform, meticulously designed to recreate the sonic characteristics of the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Rectoverb 25. This library captures the essence of a low-wattage amplifier capable of delivering a massive, cranked-up tone, providing guitarists with the power of a high-gain stack in a more manageable format.

To ensure maximum tonal quality, the Choptones team went beyond standard sampling. While the original amp offered a combo version, Choptones opted to bypass the original Fillmore speaker in favor of a wide array of premium cabinets and speakers to better capture the “combo” mode. Additionally, a high-quality Mesa Boogie five-band graphic EQ was integrated into the FX loop during capturing to provide the deep, scooped tones essential for modern high-gain styles.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Massive Rig Collection: Includes 181 professionally captured rigs for diverse tonal exploration.
  • Authentic Emulation: Specifically modeled after the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Rectoverb 25.
  • Enhanced EQ Shaping: Utilizes a Mesa Boogie five-band graphic EQ in the FX loop for precise frequency control and scooped mids.
  • Curated Cabinet Selection: A vast array of sampled cabinets to pair with the amp’s high-gain characteristics.
Best For

Use Cases

  • High-Gain Production: Ideal for metal, hard rock, and fusion projects requiring the thick, saturated distortion of a Rectifier.
  • Studio Recording: Perfect for producers who need a “cranked” amp sound without the physical volume or space requirements of a full stack.
  • Sound Design: Useful for creating aggressive guitar textures and repeatable software-based amp tones for professional mixing.
Setup Notes

Installation

This product is delivered as a Download / Digital License. After purchase, follow the publisher’s instructions to download the library and authorize the software. Ensure you have the TH-U host plugin installed. The installation process involves downloading the rig files and performing a plugin scan within your DAW to make the Bogie Dual Reverb 25 rigs available for use.
