Product Overview

Overview

The Choptones Bogie DR2G34 is a professional expansion library for Overloud TH-U, meticulously designed to recreate the legendary sound of an authentic Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 2-channel Rev G loaded with EL34 tubes. As the final edition of the 2-channel Recto head, the Revision G is renowned for its massive, robust low end and immense gain, making it a staple for artists across the rock and metal spectrum, including the Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and Rollins Band.

Utilizing Overloud’s proprietary capturing technology, this library moves beyond simple modeling. It captures the entire signal chain’s nonlinear and dynamic response—including the amplifier, cabinet, microphones, preamplifier, and the specific acoustics of the room—providing a highly realistic playing experience through the integrated Rig Player.

Best For

Use Cases

  • High-Gain Production: Ideal for modern metal, hard rock, and grunge productions requiring the “wall of sound” low-end characteristic of the Dual Rectifier.
  • Professional Mixing: Perfect for engineers who need authentic, studio-grade amp captures without the need for physical re-amping or loud cabinets.
  • Sound Design: Useful for creating thick, saturated guitar textures for film scores or aggressive industrial soundscapes.
Setup Notes
